Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Richard Boiardo, who serves the Orange, New Jersey area at his private practice, Cross Country Orthopedics and at several local hospitals. Dr. Boiardo attended medical school at the New York Medical College, then continued his studies with an internship at the Metropolitan Hospital Center. He completed a residency in orthopedic surgery at the Lenox Hill Hospital and has become board certified by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery in orthopedic surgery. He holds medical licenses in both New York and New Jersey. He has been in practice for over twenty years and is additionally affiliated with CarePoint Health Bayonne Medical Center and CarePoint Health Hoboken University Medical Center. Dr. Boiardo also works as an editorial reviewer for the Journal Of Arthroplasty and has published his research in similarly prestigious medical journals. To further his field, Dr. Boiardo commits to completing academic research regularly. To stay current in his field, Dr. Boiardo maintains professional memberships with the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery, the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, and the Eastern Orthopaedic Association. Throughout his career, he has won many awards and accolades for his practice, including Orthopaedic Arthritis Surgeon of the Year in 2016.
