A board-certified retina specialist, Dr. Crawford sees patients at his private practice in Burleson, Texas. He has been successfully restoring sight to hundreds of blind patients for over 15 years.  His practice provides diagnosis and treatment for a variety of eye conditions, including central serous chorioretinopathy, diabetic retinopathy, epiretinal membrane, flashes and floaters, macular degeneration, macular edema, macular hole, retinal vein occlusion, retinal tears and detachments, uveitis and retinitis, and vitreomacular traction syndrome. Prior to his current endeavors of serving patients in private practice, Dr. Crawford has proudly served as a physician in the US Army for 10 years, attaining the rank of Major.

Equipped with an undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, Missouri, Dr. Crawford Michigan State University Medical School as a Fulbright Scholar for Panama.  And graduated in 2005. After having completed an Army Medical Scholarship, he had the opportunity to serve as Chief of the Pentagon Health Clinic in Washington, DC, and was also accepted to serve as White House Aide. Dr. Crawford completed both his internship (2005-2006) and residency in ophthalmology (2008-2011) at Madigan Army Medical Center in Tacoma, Washington. Furthermore, he conducted his fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, Massachusetts (2014-2016). 

Subsequent to his training, Dr. Crawford acquired board certification in ophthalmology and retina surgery from the American Board of Ophthalmology. The American Board of Ophthalmology is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America. Founded in 1916, the ABO was the first American Board established to certify medical specialists.

Ophthalmology is a branch of medicine and surgery that deals with the diagnosis and treatment of disorders of the eye. An ophthalmologist is a physician who specializes in ophthalmology. The credentials include a degree in medicine, followed by a one-year internship then additional three years of residency training in ophthalmology. Following this, fellowship training in one of the ophthalmology subspecialties for one to two years.

A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), Dr. Crawford is a board examiner for the American Board of Ophthalmology. A member of the American Society of Retinal Specialists, he has published over 25 publications in peer-reviewed journals. He is licensed to practice in the states of Texas, Arizona, New Mexico, Oklahoma, Colorado, Florida, Kentucky, and Rhode Island.
