Hi, first, you need to be sure that this is IBS and not something else so you need to see a gastroenterologist. IF this is IBS, management: 1. Avoid corn, popcorn, nuts, raisins, seeds, lettuce (the green family) 2. It is usually worse w/ stress-anxiety and an anxiolytic medication may be very helpful. 3. Many patients have a lactose intolerance so a good probiotic that works, should be very helpful. READ MORE
Loss of appetite and nausea
Hi, this is not usual. Most likely you developed a 'stricture' at the site of surgery. Suggest: Go back to the surgeon or a gastroenterologist and have a B/E and SBFT (small bowel follow through) done. READ MORE
Incomplete bowel
You should see a gastroenterologist as there might have been damage to the internal or external sphincter. I would also suggest that you be checked for impaction (flat plate of the abdomen). READ MORE
Anal fissure
See a gastroenterologist x a calcium channel blocker such as procardia, with a stool softener. I would also have a barium enema done to be sure this is not a 'fistula'. READ MORE
