Dr. Patel specializes in cataract surgery, and has a special interest in diabetic eye diseases, glaucoma, and general eye care. He prides himself in providing information to his patients and having them involved in the decision making process in taking care of their eyes.
Dr. Patel is board certified by the American Board of Ophthalmology, a Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Dallas Academy of Ophthalmology. Dr. Patel has also instructed and trained residents in performing cataract surgery at Southwestern Medical School and Parkland Hospital, where he was an Associate Clinical Professor of Ophthalmology.
