Dr. Farah is a board-certified ophthalmologist with dual fellowship training in ophthalmic pathology and in retinal disease and surgery. Since opening his private practice – Farah Retina Consultants – in 2005, he has developed a loyal patient following and cultivated partnerships with esteemed medical colleagues. He also maintains an academic position as an Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology and Visual Sciences at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and has published numerous articles on retinal disease in major academic journals.

Throughout his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the Northeastern Ohio Medical University in 1991, and completed his residency in ophthalmology at the Lincoln Medical and Mental Health Center. He then went on to complete his fellowship in ophthalmic pathology at Columbia University, followed by a fellowship in vitreoretinal disease and surgery at the Montefiore Medical Center.

As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology, an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America.
