Raised in New Jersey, Dr. Fischkoff comes from a family of doctors. He studied biology at Johns Hopkins University in Baltimore and returned to New Jersey to attend medical school at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Upon graduation, he went on to complete his residency training at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital and at Penn Medicine Princeton Medical Center. Thereafter, he completed his fellowship in rheumatology at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.  

Dr. Fischkoff is board-certified in both internal medicine and rheumatology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. Throughout his career, he has been involved in major pharmaceutical trials, as well as academic research in clinical and basic science fields.
