Get to know Internist Dr. Andrew Fagelman, who serves patients in New York, New York.

Known for his good bedside manner, Dr. Fagelman is a board-certified internist who has a uniquely broad perspective in caring for patients. Soho Health NY serves as a teaching facility that provides innovative and excellent patient care while training the next generation of physicians, nurse practitioners, and medical assistants. The practice offers pre and post-graduate training designed to help produce competent providers who are prepared for practice in a variety of settings. The program emphasizes excellence of patient care in a nurturing educational environment where there is close personal interaction between physicians, patients, and dedicated staff.

Alongside his role at Soho Health NY, Dr. Fagelman is an attending physician at two local medical centers: NYU Medical Center and Beth Israel Medical Center. He is also a Clinical Instructor within the Department of Medicine at NYU Grossman School of Medicine.

A Fellow of the American College of Physicians, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Pertaining to his educational background, Dr. Fagelman earned his Bachelor of Science (BS) degree from Muhlenberg College in 1995. Four years later, in 1999, he obtained his medical degree from the University at Buffalo School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences in New York. As for his training, he completed his residency in internal medicine at St. Vincent’s Medical Center in Bridgeport, Connecticut. During this time, he did extensive research into the clinical efficacy of sildenafil.

Recognized for his excellence in the field, he has received several honors and awards, including Critical Care Resident Physician of the Year. His patients have excellent things to say about him, one stating “Dr. Fagelman took his time to listen to my concerns and answered every question I had in full detail.
