    If there are no allergies or medical issues, you can alternate between 2 different OTC pain medications. However, I would do this only after consulting with either a physician or nurse. Getting on an antibiotic might also be helpful. Cold compresses for upto 24 hours and then warm compresses in the area of pain might help. Sticking to soft, cold foods also helps a lot. READ MORE

    Eliquis is a drug that cannot be reversed in the office in the event of a bleeding event. Your question about whether you can undergo surgery depends on what your doctor that has prescribed the Eliquis decides is in your best interest.   • Infection in tooth,swelling alot!.

    If the emergency room has decided not to drain there is a reason for it and most often it is because the abscess is not localized enough and is spread out. That does not mean that you might not need some incision and drainage if necessary. However, as long as you are not having difficulty breathing or swallowing, you should complete the course of medications prescribed and see a dentist or doctor immediately for further treatment.     Get a second opinion. Many times teeth can develop fractures that are not easily detectable. It could also be due to a localized gum issue around one tooth. Regardless, a second opinion never hurts. READ MORE

    A home remedy is to request your dentist to give you a Monoject which is a disposable, reusable syringe with a tipped end.
