As his skills are well known and widely admired, he has trained thousands of surgeons from around the world. In regards to his educational background, Dr. Kridel earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio in 1975. He then went on to complete his internship and his residencies in general surgery and in otolaryngology at Baylor College of Medicine in Houston, followed by his fellowship with the American Academy of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery in 1981.
In 1995, he established The Face Foundation charitable program. Cosmetic facial plastic surgery is surgery performed to enhance the visual appearance of the facial structures and features. Common procedures include facelifts, eye lifts, rhinoplasty, chin and cheek implants, liposuction, and procedures to correct facial wrinkles. Reconstructive surgery is performed to treat structures of the body affected aesthetically or functionally by congenital defects, developmental abnormalities, trauma, infection, tumors or disease. As a facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon, Dr. Kridel specializes in procedures for the face and neck, exclusively. He has pioneered surgical techniques for rhinoplasty, revision rhinoplasty, facelifts, and septal perforation, that are now taught in medical schools across the country. His unparalleled surgical expertise and compassion puts his patients at ease so they can embark on their surgical journey with confidence.
He is the most noted in the U.S. for an extremely high success rate for complex septal perforation surgery. He also has extensive experience performing many other cosmetic procedures such as otoplasty, eyelid surgery, CO2 laser resurfacing, hair restoration, and other leading-edge, non-surgical treatments.
