Get to know Infectious Disease Specialist Dr. Amir Z. Qureshi, who serves patients in Spring Valley, Nevada.

A well-versed infectious disease specialist, Dr. Qureshi can be found on staff at Southern Hills Hospital & Medical Center. Some of the conditions that he treats include sepsis, meningitis, endocarditis, tuberculosis, bacterial sepsis, and HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus).

With a broad educational background, Dr. Qureshi graduated with his medical degree from Dow Medical College in Pakistan in 1990. He then relocated to the United States, performing his residency in internal medicine and his fellowship in infectious diseases at St. Luke’s – Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York.

Possessing over three decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in both internal medicine and infectious disease by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, Dr. Qureshi is affiliated with Desert Springs Hospital, Summerlin Hospital Medical Center, Spring Valley Hospital Medical Center, St. Rose Dominican Hospitals-Rose de Lima Campus, MountainView Hospital, and Centennial Hills Hospital Medical Center.
