Dr. Patel is an experienced cardiologist who is a very high volume operator of cardiac catheterizations, trans-esophageal echocardiography, stress testing, trans-thoracic echocardiography, permanent pacemakers, and critical care. Working at Prime Heart, he provides comprehensive cardiac care at the offices in Maplewood and Jersey City, New Jersey.
The goal of Prime Heart is to identify patients at risk of cardiovascular events and to provide the highest quality medical care with respect and compassion. Its motto is “Prevention Is Better Than Cure.”
With more than two decades of diverse experience, Dr. Patel is affiliated with many hospitals including Bayonne Medical Center, Jersey City Medical Center, and Newark Beth Israel Medical Center.
The doctor’s journey into medicine began after he obtained his medical degree from Pramukhswami Medical College in India. Upon relocating to the United States, he performed his residency in internal medicine at Interfaith Medical Center, and his fellowship in cardiology at SUNY Downstate Medical Center.
With a commitment to excellence in heart health, Dr. Patel is board-certified in internal medicine, cardiovascular disease, and nuclear cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM).
