Dr. Bonder is a urologist practicing at Garden State Urology in Whippany, New Jersey & tending to patients at Saint Clare’s Denville Hospital. His specialties include urologic oncology, female urological incontinence, pediatric urology, stones, and erectile dysfunction.
“I have been practicing medicine as a physician for over 30 years. Experience is important. My goal is to provide outstanding care to all my patients. No two people are the same and as such an individualized approach is required” expressed the doctor on his approach to healthcare.
Garden State Urology was formed in 2008, the result of a merger of five of the busiest urology practices in Morris County. They joined on the principle that by working cooperatively, they could provide more cost-effective and higher quality care than they did individually. They continue to grow annually with the addition of new physicians coming from the top academic centers nationally. Their mission statement, created at their inception, reflects these beliefs and directs their future growth: To provide comprehensive and compassionate urologic care at the highest possible level.
Providing outstanding care to all his patients, Dr. Bonder also has medical privileges at Morristown Medical Center, Saint Clare’s Hospital Denver and Dover Campuses, and Morris County Surgical Center.
A Fellow of the American College of Surgeons, he has held the position of President of the Morris County Medical Society, the Northern New Jersey Lithotripsy, and the Morris County Surgical Center.
Regarding his educational background, Dr. Bonder began his medical career by earning his medical degree at Universidad Autonoma de Guadalajara in Mexico. After relocating to the United States, he completed his internship at the Cooper University Hospital in 1983, and his residencies in general surgery and urology at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in 1985 and 1988, respectively.
Practicing medicine in New Jersey, he is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, and working with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to ensure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.
Urology, also known as genitourinary surgery, is the branch of medicine that focuses on surgical and medical diseases of the male and female urinary-tract system and the male reproductive organs. Urologists specialize in diseases of the urinary tract and the male reproductive system. Patients may be referred to a urologist if their physician suspects they may need treatment for a condition relating to the bladder, prostate, urethra, ureters, kidneys, and adrenal glands.
