A Colorado native, he grew up in Florence. He graduated Magna Cum Laude from the Southern Illinois School of Dental Medicine in 2002, as a member of the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society. He then returned to Colorado to practice dentistry in Cañon City. In 2015, he was voted “Fremont County’s Best Dentist” by Canon City Daily Record – Readers’ Choice Awards.
With a passion for the latest advances in dental procedures and equipment, Dr. Smith chose general dentistry because he gets to enjoy helping his patients on a personal level through all phases of dentistry. Due to his strong ties and dedication to his community, he volunteers many hours to community service, including working with the Colorado Mission of Mercy to provide care to those in need. What’s more, he is a member of the Delta Dental Achievement Network and has been awarded for achievement in occlusion and TMJ functions.
Outside of the office, Dr. Smith enjoys spending his time with his family, listening to classical music, and riding motorcycles. He and his wife, Andrea, reside in Cañon City with their three children, Josh, Ally, and Jake, as well as their beloved Pug, Frank.
