Graduating magna cum laude with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Chemistry from Texas Christian University, he earned his medical degree from the University of Texas Health Science Center. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in plastic and reconstructive surgery within the Department of Surgery at the University of Cincinnati Hospitals.
Finally, he completed his fellowship in pediatric burn and critical care at Shriners Burn Institute, and his fellowship in cosmetic surgery under the tutelage of Drs. Baker, Gordon and Stuzin in Miami, Florida.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in plastic surgery and facial plastic and reconstructive surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.
Furthermore, he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
