A highly trained psychiatrist, Dr. Patterson is the Owner of Patterson Healthcare, providing an array of comprehensive services and procedures to the Charlotte community since 1991. He understands that patients’ health and wellness concerns extend beyond routine medical care. His experience and interests include mood and anxiety disorders, ADHD, sleep disorders, obsessive-compulsive and related disorders, and recovery from trauma and addictions.
Developing a passion for science at a very young age, he turned that passion towards the science of human behavior by the end of high school. He earned his Bachelor of Arts and Master of Arts degrees in Psychology from the Georgia State University, and graduated with his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia in 1985. He then went on to complete his internship and residency in psychiatry at the same educational venue in 1989, serving as one of two Chief Residents during his final year.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
