Get to know Anesthesiologist, Dr. Zorayda M. Lee-Llacer, who serves patients in Metropolitan Washington, D.C. and Maryland

Dr. Zorayda Lee-Llacer is a board-certified anesthesiologist who serves patients in Metropolitan Washington DC and Maryland. Featuring Fifty-four years of experience, she is licensed to practice in the state of Marylnad. Dr. Lee-Llacer received her medical degree at the University of Santo Tomas, Philippines in 1961.

After relocating to the United States, she trained and pursued the practice of Critical Care Medicine.

Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in anesthesiology through the American Board of Anesthesiology. The American Board of Anesthesiology sets standards and exams for the accreditation of Board certified anesthesiologists coming to the end of their residency. It is one of the 24 medical specialty boards that constitutes the American Board of Medical Specialties.

From 1970 to 1975 she was an Assistant Professor Department of Anesthesia and Director of Respiratory Intensive Care at Georgetown Medical Center in Washington DC. From 1975 to 1997 she was the Chief of ICU at Doctors Community Hospital, in Lanham Maryland. From 2009 to 2014 she was the Director of Intensive Care Unit at Laurel Regional Hospital an affiliate of University of Maryland. Since 2018 she has practiced home medical care of complex medical patients, like ventilator patients, COPD, Cardiac Respiratory Failure, Advance Parkinson’s disease, ALS, trach, and Peg patients. 

Dr. Zorayda Lee-Llacer received several awards and citations from Governor Paris Glendening and Senate President Thomas V. Mike Miller. Including the 1990 President of Prince George’s County Medical Society in the State of Maryland, the 1990 Chairman of Anti Discrimination Task Force in Med Chi. From 2000 to 2008 she was a Board Member of Physician Quality Assurance in the State of Maryland.
