Get to know Internist Dr. Babak Ghadishah, who serves patients in Las Vegas, Nevada.

A specialist in the field of internal medicine, Dr. Ghadishah is a part of the team of professionals at Internal Medicine Specialists of Southern Nevada in Las Vegas. He believes the best part of his profession is helping people feel better and he works hard to ensure good health for all of his patients.

Despite his prodigious artistic talents, Dr. Ghadishah knew he wanted to become a physician and help people. He attended UCLA for two undergraduate degrees: A Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies and a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology. He graduated from both programs with the distinguished magna cum laude. 

Given the curriculum integrating both the rigors of medical training and healing the body as a holistic entity, Dr. Ghadishah elected to attend medical school at Touro University College of Osteopathic Medicine in California. After graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree in 2001, he went on to complete an internship at Lake Mead Hospital Medical Center, where he was awarded Intern of the Year. His residency was completed at Touro University Nevada.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine (AOBIM). The AOBIM is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Licensed to practice medicine in Nevada, Dr. Ghadishah is affiliated with Summerlin Hospital Medical Center and University Medical Center. Additionally, Dr. Ghadishah was the Internal Medicine Program Director at Valley Hospital from 2007 to 2010. 

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.

A talented pianist and oil color painter, Dr. Ghadishah is the married father of three young and very loved children.

He was named Intern of the Year during his internship. Dr. Ghadishah completed his undergraduate education Magna Cum Laude: his Bachelor of Arts degree in Middle Eastern Studies and Bachelor of Science degree in Biology at UCLA in 1988.
