  • Can lower back pain be fixed with exercises?

In all honesty there is a difference between reduction of the pain and actually correcting the problem. Certain exercises depending on the situation may reduce the pain and improve mobility. But in my 34 years of experience dealing with professional athletes as well as non athletes the problem cannot be fixed with exercise alone. So by the definition of the word fixed the answer is no. I utilize exercise for my patients regularly as they undergo corrective care. Chiropractic is the #1 treatment for lower back pain. Call one in your area. READ MORE

  • Is disc hernia serious?

A disc herniation is a serious injury. It can be treated successfully in a non surgical manner if the injury is not considered a medical emergency, such as a ruptured disc with floating fragments resulting in loss of bowel and bladder control. Yes a disc injury can be that severe. During my 34 years in practice I have successfully treated thousands of patients suffering from disc herniations. I see them daily. A disc herniation can compromise the spinal cord (canal stenosis) or the nerve roots (foraminal stenosis) resulting in a loss of strength in a muscle, loss of sensation (numbness) to an area as well as pain. I advise getting treatment as soon as possible for the best outcome. READ MORE

  • Can you help with a neck sprain?

Yes, absolutely. As a matter of fact if the sprain injury was sustained in a motor vehicle accident or sports related physical trauma Chiropractic treatment is necessary to restore proper functioning of the joints. Just resting it an letting it heal on its own will not restore proper biomechanical function and can result in a chronic neck problem. READ MORE

  • Can you help my shoulder impingement pain?

Over the years in practice I have treated many shoulder issues. Yes a shoulder impingement can be helped through Chiropractic care. Just make sure the Doctor works with extremities. READ MORE

  • What exercises are good for back pain?

In all honesty this is a question that is too general. Why you have back pain will determine which exercises can help you. If you do the incorrect exercise it can make the problem worse. But, a simple effective stretch that is generally safe to try is the yoga pose - child's pose. I suggest having a doctor analyze what is wrong so specific exercises can be more beneficial. READ MORE

  • Can scoliosis be fixed with exercise?

Scoliosis unfortunately cannot be fixed with exercise. It is both structural and neuromuscular. Treatment must be structural and neuromuscular, so Chiropractic adjustments and exercise combined are the most effective protocols. Age also plays a significant factor, the earlier it is detected the better the results of care. READ MORE

  • Physical neck/head/shoulders

I am quite familiar with your situation as I have treated many others during my 33 years in practice suffering with similar symptoms.Such as wrestlers and TBI victims from head traumas. The reason for the tic symptoms is the brain and nervous system are locked up & out of balance from the trauma. This puts the muscular system out of sync or phase and disrupts the normal nerve supply to the muscles. Most of the patients I have treated for this recovered completely. I hope this helps. • Can a chiropractor help with my leg pain?

Short answer is most likely. Unless you injured your leg and the pain is from the injury the cause of leg pain is mostly in the spine and/or pelvis resulting in radicular symptoms. I have seen this thousands of time and it is usually treated very successfully through Chiropractic care. On rare instances the damage to the spine resulting in leg pain will be so severe that surgery is required, but that is very rarely the case. READ MORE

  • Can massage fix ankle pain?

Having treated professional athletes for over 30 years I have seen plenty of ankle injuries. Massage can help, but it depends on what the cause of the pain is. If the cause is for example a misaligned talus bone massage will not be able to reduce that pain. I recommend seeing a doctor to evaluate the cause of the pain. A Chiropractor that does extremity treatment can be a place to begin. An orthopedic as well as a DPT can also evaluate the situation to diagnose the cause of the symptom. READ MORE

  • Does a chiropractor help with disc herniation?

Yes, a Chiropractor can treat herniated discs successfully. I do it daily in our office. Call an office and ask the doctor if they regularly treat disc herniations with a Cox table and technique. It is the one I have used very successfully for more than 25 years. Get Outlook for AndroidREAD MORE
