A native of west Texas, Dr. Cueto graduated from the University of Texas at El Paso with a Bachelor of Science degree in Microbiology. She attended medical school at the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston and completed her surgical internship and residency at the University of Arizona in Tucson.
An expert in her field, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). The ABS is an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge.
After completing her training, she accepted a position as a general surgeon in an underserved community in east Texas. After a little over 3 years in that community, she relocated for family and joined Surgical Associates of the Mid-Cities in 2016.
