Get to know Radiologist Dr. Lowrey H. Holthaus, who serves patients in Richmond, Virginia.

Dr. Holthaus is a board-certified radiologist whose areas of interest include musculoskeletal and sports medicine imaging, neuroradiology, general radiology, and diving medicine. Providing a full range of imaging services, he is in practice with Radiology Associates of Richmond.

Radiology Associates of Richmond offers diagnostic, vascular, and neurovascular interventional services to hospitals, freestanding emergency centers, and outpatient imaging centers throughout central Virginia. It has established an inter-hospital network to provide primary diagnostic evaluations and to facilitate consultation among group members—any time, any day.

A 1986 graduate of Virginia Commonwealth University School of Medicine, Dr. Holthaus continued his training at the same educational venue. He performed an internship and residency in diagnostic radiology as well as a fellowship in body imaging (CT, US, MRI).

In the year 1990, he attained board certification in diagnostic radiology through the American Board of Radiology (ABR). The ABR is a not-for-profit physician-led organization that oversees the certification and ongoing professional development of specialists in diagnostic radiology, interventional radiology, radiation oncology, and medical physics.

With more than three decades of experience, Dr. Holthaus is affiliated with Henrico Doctors’ Hospital, Parham Doctors’ Hospital, Retreat Doctors’ Hospital, Chippenham Medical Center, Johnston-Willis Hospital, John Randolph Hospital and Southside Regional Medical Center.
