Educated in Syria, Dr. Saleh graduated with his medical degree from the Faculty of Medicine of Damascus University in 1992. He then went on to perform his internship at Mercy Health Grand Rapids in 1994, his residency in internal medicine at Spectrum Health/Michigan State University in 1996, and an additional residency in internal medicine at St. Mary Mercy Hospital.

Likewise, he is a Clinical Associate Professor at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine, teaching 3rd and 4th year medical students.
