Get to know Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon: Dr. Patrick C. Obasi, who serves patients in Texas.

A vastly experienced cosmetic surgeon, Dr. Obasi is the Founder and Chief Surgical Officer of Noble Cosmetic Surgery with offices in Plano and Desoto, Texas.

With a goal to make his patients feel alive again and improve their well-being, he holds privileges at many hospitals in Texas, including: Medical City Plano and Medical City Frisco.

With an unquenchable thirst for knowledge, Dr. Obasi earned a bachelor’s degree in microbiology and biochemistry from the University of Texas Arlington and then continued studies at Howard University College of Medicine. He excelled in medical school, receiving the American Medical Student Association’s Exemplary Leadership Award, as chapter president. 

Howard University Hospital and the Cleveland Clinic Foundation honored him with their Research Fellowship Awards. Dr. Obasi was a recipient of the Graduating Students’ Award for Courage and Perseverance from the Howard University College of Medicine and received the Community Outreach Scholarship, granted by the Academy of Family Physicians to the most outstanding student in the class.

At Graduate Hospital Philadelphia, he received the Surgical Excellence Award during his general surgery residency. This honor is bestowed upon the resident who achieved the top score in the American Board of Surgery In-Training Examination and demonstrated unsurpassed surgical skills. Dr. Obasi then completed a surgical residency at the Medical University of South Carolina College of Medicine in Charleston. 

With surgical training completed, Dr. Obasi set out to gain a broad background in clinical experience. He returned to Texas, to the state and people he loves, to practice as a general, trauma, and laparoscopic surgeon. He worked as an emergency room physician as well. He served as chief of surgery and trauma medical director at these posts and was an executive member of the board of directors, 

After later accepting a cosmetic surgery fellowship, he relocated to California to train as an Aesthetic Plastic Surgeon before going into private practice. 

One of the few surgeons in Texas with double board certifications, Dr. Obasi is a diplomate of the American Board of Cosmetic Surgery, and the American Board of Surgery.

Distinguished as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he maintains membership status with several professional organizations, including the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery, the American Medical Association, and the North Texas American College of Surgeons.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done.

Renowned in his field, Dr. Obasi has been accepted by the American Institute of Plastic Surgeons (AIPS) as one of the “Ten Best Plastic Surgeons in Texas”. This is a prestigious honor given to the surgeon who has attained the highest degree of professional achievement in their field and has done so with an impeccable Patient Satisfaction rating. He has been voted as a “Top Doctor”  since 2022 to date by Findatopdoc.

He has also been honored as one of the Top 10 Plastic Surgeons in the country by the National Academy of Plastic Surgeons (NAOPS), and has had many peer-reviewed articles published in professional journals.

With a deep concern for the welfare of his native Nigerians, Dr. Obasi founded and funds an organization that provides care for underprivileged widows in his hometown.
