Dr. Amar began her medical career doing research for a pathologist. A biochemistry and chemistry major in college, she considered becoming a pediatrician before she discovered podiatry and decided to become a foot doctor. Dr. Amar completed medical school and obtained her medical degree from New York College of Podiatric Medicine. After obtaining her Medical Degree Dr. Amar completed her podiatry surgery residency with New York Methodist Hospital. Following her residency, she undertook her fellowship with Long Island University. Dr. Amar is certified Podiatry Board Certified in Surgery foot and ankle and maintains membership with the American Board of Podiatric Orthopedics. Dr. Amar currently practices with Artisan Podiatry, P.C and is affiliated with Brooklyn Hospital Center, Maimonides Medical Center, New York Community Hospital of Brooklyn and NewYork-Presbyterian and Brooklyn Methodist Hospital.
