Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Larisa Vorobyeva, who serves patients in Brooklyn, New York.

A committed obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Vorobyeva sees patients at her private practice in Brooklyn, New York.

“I wanted to become a gynecologist because it’s one of the few areas of medicine that gives me the opportunity to build relationships with other women, as I work with them every step of the way from preconception all the way to childbirth” expressed the doctor.

After graduating with her medical degree from the SUNY Upstate Medical University, Dr. Vorobyeva completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (FACOG), the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).

When she is not at work, Dr. Vorobyeva likes to bake. She says that a delicious cake is always a great reminder that with the right ingredients anything is possible. She is fluent in both English and Russian.
