Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Amanda A. Reed, who serves patients in Appleton and New London, Wisconsin.

Recognized as a compassionate, board-certified obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Reed provides an entire range of women’s health services. She has special interest in adolescent gynecology, fertility issues including subfertility, gynecologic procedures, and routine wellness checks. At present, she is in practice at Women’s Care of Wisconsin with offices in Appleton and New London, Wisconsin.

Women’s Care of Wisconsin offers a team of highly trained gynecologists, obstetricians, midwives, and nurse practitioners who are sensitive to the needs of women and committed to providing a high level of quality care and services. The providers and staff are recognized for excellence in gynecologic services.

“To me, health is much more than physical well-being. My goal is to care for my patients’ physical, mental and emotional health. It is important for my patients to know that I will take care of them as though they are my mom, daughter or sister. I will strive to do what is best for them” as stated by the doctor. 

Her acclaimed career in medicine began in 2007 after she earned her medical degree from the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee. She then went on to complete her residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Medical College of Wisconsin Affiliated Hospitals, which is also located in Milwaukee.

Following her training, Dr. Reed became board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology, which is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada. 

Obstetrics and Gynecology is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist, or OB-GYN, is a healthcare professional who specializes in female reproductive health. 

Outside of work, Dr. Reed enjoys spending time with her husband, daughter, and their beloved Greyhound. She enjoys playing volleyball and baseball, as well as staying active.
