It will take approximately 20 minutes. For radiation therapy planning you will be positioned in the same way you will be treated every day. An immobilization device will be fabricated for you. Also you will be required to have a full bladder. You will also be given instructions on doing proper bowel preps to decrease the amount of stool and gas in your rectum.
