Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Sanjay Lamba, who serves patients in Virginia.

Dr. Lamba is a practised pediatrician specializing in the health care of children. He is on active medical staff at Novant Health UVA Prince William Medical Center & Inova Fair Oaks Hospital in Virginia.

After earning his medical degree from the University College of Medical Sciences in India in 1990, Dr. Lamba relocated to the United States. Once there, he performed his internship in pediatrics at Mount Sinai St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in 1997, followed by his residency in pediatrics at MedStar Georgetown University Hospital in 1999.

With over three decades of experience in his field, the doctor is a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP).

Moreover, he is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The ABP exists to support and encourage the best possible health care for children by setting standards for medical training, assessing levels of competence, and encouraging pediatricians to stay up to date with medical knowledge and best practices.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends people be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. As a pediatrician, Dr. Lamba provides medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. He is trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all their developmental stages, as they grow and mature. 

On a more personal note, Dr. Lamba speaks many languages, including English, Hindi, Spanish, and Urdu.
