Dr. Patricia Maeso is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) doctor, also known as an otolaryngologist, practicing in Houston, TX. Get to know Otolaryngologist Dr. Patricia A. Maeso, who serves patients in Texas.
As a board-certified and fellowship-trained otolaryngologist, Dr. Maeso’s clinical interests include general adult and pediatric otolaryngology such as sinusitis, allergies, sleep apnea, throat problems, thyroid issues, and salivary gland disorders. She has specialized training in complex sinus and nasal disorders and is passionate about helping patients with these issues. Additionally, she is interested in new technologies and in-office procedures.
Born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico, Dr. Maeso completed her undergraduate degree at the University of Pennsylvania. She returned home for her medical training where she earned her medical degree from the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine in 2002. While there, she was inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. She then went on to complete an internship in general surgery and a residency in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery at the same educational venue.
Following her residency, she relocated to Georgia to complete further subspecialty training in rhinology at the prestigious Georgia Health Sciences University in Augusta. Before long, she became board-certified by the American Board of Otolaryngology, Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
In addition to being an active member of the American Academy of Otolaryngology and the American Rhinologic Society, Dr. Maeso has been actively involved in clinical research, with multiple publications and presentations nationally.
She joined Houston Ear, Nose and Throat Clinic, LLP in 2012 from the University of Texas Medical Branch at Galveston, where she worked as an Assistant Professor and Director of the UTMB Texas Nasal and Sinus Center since 2008.
