Dr. Bhakta, known as “Dan” is a highly-trained podiatrist providing care for a full range of podiatric issues, including pediatric foot care, reconstructive surgery, sports injuries, limb salvage, wound care, and peripheral nerve disease. In July of 2002, he joined the staff at Accent Podiatry Associates with offices in Arlington and Mansfield, Texas.
Dedicated to getting to the root of one’s foot or ankle problem, Accent Podiatry specializes in ankle sprains, bunions, flat feet, ingrown toenails, diabetic feet, heel spurs, and more. The full-service office can handle anything from fungal nails to foot surgery with a commitment to making care convenient and accessible.
For his undergraduate degree, Dr. Bhakta attended the University of California at Riverside, majoring in Biochemistry with a minor in Mathematics. He then pursued his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine (DPM) degree at the California School of Podiatric Medicine in San Francisco in 2000.
Upon graduation, he continued his postgraduate training by completing a podiatric internship at Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn, New York that involved hospital and community podiatric medicine. He also participated in a podiatric surgical residency at Englewood Hospital in New Jersey.
A Fellow of the American College of Foot and Ankle Surgeons (FACFAS), Dr. Bhakta is actively involved in the American Podiatric Medical Association and the Texas Podiatric Medical Association. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Podiatric Surgery and is Wound Care Certified (WCC) by the Woundcare Education Institute.
