Get to know Neurologist Dr. Wegdan Andrews, who serves patients in St. Louis, Missouri.

A knowledgeable neurologist, Dr. Andrews is in practice at Mercy Hospital St. Louis. She specializes in sleep medicine and clinical neurophysiology.

A native of Egypt, Dr. Andrews graduated with her medical degree from the Assiut University Faculty of Medicine. Upon relocating to the United States, she completed her residency in neurology and her fellowship in clinical neurophysiology at the University of Alabama Hospital.

As a testament to her success, the doctor is board-certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, sleep medicine, and electrodiagnostic medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.

Among her other roles, she can be found on staff at Mercy Hospital Washington, Mercy Hospital Lincoln, and Mercy Hospital Jefferson.

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.
