Get to know Family Practitioner, Dr. Anupriya Grover, who serves patients in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
Dr. Grover is a reputable family practitioner working with Appledore Family Medicine in Portsmouth, New Hampshire. Also affiliated with Portsmouth Regional Hospital, she serves on the clinical associate faculty at Tufts University School of Medicine in Boston, Massachusetts, where she also a mentor for the American Women Medical Association Mentorship Program
Following the completion of a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Professional writing at Carnegie Mellon University, Dr. Grover received her Post-Baccalaureate Certification in Pre-Medical Sciences at the University of Pennsylvania. She then joined the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she obtained her Doctor of Osteopathy degree in 2013. Her family medicine residency was performed at Abington Jefferson Memorial Hospital in Abington, Pennsylvania (2013-2016). Dr. Grover also completed a Master Teacher fellowship through Tufts University’s Family Medicine Residency Program at Cambridge Health Alliance.
Following her training, she attained board certification in family medicine through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians. The American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians is an organization that provides board certification to qualified osteopathic physicians who specialize in delivering comprehensive primary care for patients of all ages, genders, and addressing all parts of the body. Family medicine, or family practice, is a medical specialty devoted to comprehensive health care for people of all ages.
Earlier in her career, Dr. Grover has carried out research on the influence of female mentors on the professional and personal development of medical students. She has also been critical in assisting with a working group called Women in Medicine within Tufts University Family Medicine Residency program. At Tufts, she serves in the On Doctoring course designed to prepare first and second year medical students to start clinical rotations and therefore be able to provide patient care during their last two years of medical school.
Dr. Grover is currently completing her dissertation to obtain her Master of Medical Education from University of Dundee, in Scotland. Honors received include the Abington Jefferson Women’s Boards Frobese Award for exceptional service and the Tufts School of Medicine Family Medicine Clerkship Educator of the Year. She remains a member of the American Osteopathic Association.
