Furthering her education, she completed her residency in obstetrics and gynecology as well as her fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. Upon completion of her fellowship, she joined the faculty of Emory University as an Assistant Professor and served as the In Vitro Fertilization (IVF) Director of the Emory Reproductive Center.
As a testament to her success, Dr. Bowling is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology & reproductive endocrinology and infertility by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The ABOG is a non-profit organization that provides board certification for practicing obstetricians and gynecologists in the United States and Canada.
