Get to know Neurologist Dr. Gary W. London, who serves patients in Bethesda, Maryland.

A professional in the field of neurology, Dr. London is trained to identify, treat, and manage neurological disorders, which originate from abnormalities in the brain, spinal cord, or the rest of the nervous system. He has special expertise in head injuries, concussion, cervical & lumbar injuries, and traumatic headaches. 

Currently, he is affiliated with Suburban Hospital, a community-based, not-for-profit hospital serving Montgomery County, Maryland and the surrounding area since 1943. Located in Bethesda, it is the designated trauma center for Montgomery County, offering both complex and routine care for a range of specialties. Its mission is “To improve health with skill and compassion.”

Upon graduating with his medical degree from the Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine in 1968, Dr. London went on to further his education. He completed his residency in neurology at Kaiser Permanente San Diego Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology (FAAN), the doctor is board-certified in neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine by the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. They examine a patient’s mental and physical status, conduct medical tests and scans, and evaluate the results to diagnose and treat the patient.

On a more personal note, Dr. London speaks both English and Spanish.
