Recognized as a skilled ophthalmologist with 20 years of experience, Dr. Hogan is the Founder of Hogan Eye Clinic & Surgical Center in Gulfport, Mississippi. Specializing in the treatment and surgery of eye disease, he has performed thousands of eye surgeries on patients throughout the region, including other eye doctors and their family members, medical doctors, surgeons, as well as nurses. 

His Medicare certified, single specialty ambulatory surgery center was the first on the Mississippi Gulf Coast dedicated exclusively to eye surgery. Dr. Hogan participates in Medicare’s Physician Quality Reporting System Initiative and in Medicare’s Maintenance of Certification Program.

A 1991 graduate of the Tulane University School of Medicine, Dr. Hogan went on to perform his internship at Riverside Methodist Hospitals – OhioHealth. He followed this up with a residency in ophthalmology at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

A Fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, he is board-certified in ophthalmology by the American Board of Ophthalmology (ABO). The ABO is an independent, non-profit organization responsible for certifying ophthalmologists in the United States of America. 

Certified by the American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgical Centers, Dr. Hogan is affiliated with Garden Park Medical Center, Memorial Hospital at Gulfport, and George Regional Hospital.
