Dr. Breanna L. O’Keefe, a dedicated family physician, has embarked on a transformative journey with Premier Primary Care and Wellness, PLLC in Lansing, Michigan. Embracing the innovative Direct Primary Care (DPC) model, Dr. O’Keefe is breaking down barriers to healthcare access by offering a straightforward, affordable membership fee that prioritizes comprehensive patient care.

Grounded in the principles of osteopathy, Dr. O’Keefe takes a holistic approach to patient care, focusing on the individual as a whole rather than a mere collection of symptoms. By considering the mind, body, and environment of each patient, she tailors personalized care plans that address their unique needs, ensuring that every concern is heard and addressed with compassion and expertise. Her commitment to serving her patients extends beyond the walls of her practice, as she provides expert medical testimony in legal proceedings, including but not limited to sexual assault, child and elder abuse, competency, and obstetrics and gynecology.

Dr. O’Keefe’s roots in Mason, Michigan, have shaped her dedication to caring for her community. Inspired by Aristotle’s belief that excellence is a habit, she pursued her academic and athletic passions at Olivet College, excelling as a student, athlete, community leader, and eventually, Valedictorian. Her journey continued at Michigan State University College of Osteopathic Medicine, where she earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine Degree, setting the stage for her impactful career in family medicine.

Completing her residency in family medicine at Sparrow Hospital, Dr. O’Keefe is board certified in both family medicine (allopathic and osteopathic) and osteopathic manipulative therapy. She is also an active member of the American Osteopathic Association and the Michigan Association of Osteopathic Family Physicians.

Dr. O’Keefe stated, “I have always been a caregiver. I also have a huge love for science and a passion for problem solving and puzzles – figuring out how things fit together. Wanting to be and becoming a physician blends the two best parts of me.” She feels a strong calling to help others and takes great satisfaction in the meaningful impact she can make through her work.

Dr. O’Keefe is known for her humility, often finding it difficult to discuss her own accomplishments. However, her loved ones are eager to share what makes her special. A fan of Golden Girls, they describe her as embodying the best qualities of the show’s beloved characters: the kindness of Rose, the sassiness of Sophia, the wit of Dorothy, and the confidence of Blanche.

On a more personal note, Dr. O’Keefe lives in Grand Ledge, Michigan with her husband, Patrick O’Keefe Jr., and their six children, two cats, and a dog. Faith, family, and football are just a few pillars by which they live their lives. Dr. O’Keefe enjoys working out, weight lifting, softball, bird watching, coaching her kid's sports teams, and skiing with the family. 

On a personal note, Dr. O’Keefe lives in Grand Ledge, Michigan with her husband, Patrick O’Keefe Jr., and their six children, along with two cats and a dog. Faith, family, and football are central to their lives. Dr. O’Keefe enjoys working out, weight lifting, softball, bird watching, coaching her children’s sports teams, and skiing with her family. During the fall, when not attending their children’s sports, one can catch Dr. and Mr. O’Keefe at MSU and Notre Dame football games cheering on their alma maters.
