Do chiropractic adjustments help with chronic lower back pain?
Most likely yes. Studies show Chiropractic is more efficient at treating low back pain than physical therapy, drugs or surgery. READ MORE
After healing from a sprain, why do I still feel pressure in my ankle?
First off, if you’re still feeling anything different with the sprained ankle, then clearly it hasn’t healed completely — if it was healed, it wouldn’t feel any different from the other ankle at all. Secondly, even if it feels like it’s back to normal, unless it’s been adjusted at least a few times by a chiropractor who knows how to do that well, there is still joint dysfunction that will likely result in future discomfort or dysfunction. Can a chiropractor help me get relief from muscle pain?
Most likely. Muscle pain is often caused by a process called facilitation. Basically facilitation is when there is compression of a nerve or another interference between the brain and body connection to that muscle and the muscle involved tightens up. This can result in muscle spasms, achy dull or throbbing pain or even the sensation of the area involved “falling asleep” or experiencing numbness. READ MORE
Can heel spurs be corrected by a chiropractor?
Chiropractic care will usually aid in the treatment of heel spurs. Heel Spurs form from tight soft tissues in the foot pulling on bones in the foot. This usually is due to or at least associated with joint dysfunction both which a chiropractor who does adjustments by hand on the extremities (arms and legs), well as the spine will most likely be able to help with this issue. I have a back ache after my car accident. What can I do?
Find a great chiropractor who focuses on corrective care and that you can make it to regularly. You should follow their recommended corrective care plan. Soft tissue injuries from car accidents (even miner ones) can take 3-18 months to fully heal. READ MORE
Is there a treatment for degenerative disc disease?
Discs degenerate mainly because the joints around them are not moving correctly. The joints need to be adjusted (as long as they’re not too arthritic or fused) to get them moving correctly again — which will take several months (if the chiropractor feels they can help). The chiropractor should also be using mechanical traction to help with the open the disc spaces. READ MORE
Can you suggest some medication for treating my shoulder pain?
Sorry, to clarify; medication will NOT treat the cause of the problem, it will only decrease symptoms while allowing the actual cause of the problem to worsen. READ MORE
I feel my posture has bent after delivery. What can I do?
Obviously, an in-depth exam is required to diagnose the problem. Based on your description, it sounds like you may have a subluxation (misalignment of the vertebrae). Chiropractic adjustments correct subluxations. Again, I do not know if this is your problem until an exam is conducted. If you are local to the San Fernando Valley (Los Angeles, CA) area, feel free to contact my office and schedule a no-charge evaluation. If you are not local to my office, I encourage you to seek a local chiropractor for a no-charge evaluation. I also suggest finding a Dr. who performs manual adjustments. Best of luck. Sincerely, Dr. Brian Pazera READ MORE
My daughter sits with her back slanted. How can her posture be corrected?
Proprioceptors are nerve receptors in every joint in the body. They send the brain information about where the body is in space. Based on your description of the issue it sounds like her proprioceptive input to her brain is not getting through correctly all the way, if it was her brain could send signals down to her postural muscles activating them to keep her body stabilized correctly. It sounds to me like a good chiropractor who does adjustments for children should be able to help with the issue. If you are not too far from north Hollywood, California I offer no charge consultations to see if i can help. My office number is 8187933783. Have s great day! Dr Brian READ MORE
Do chiropractors offer free consultations?
First off to clarify nothing is "free" it costs me to open the office and to pay employees to be there and of course time away from caring for other patients. I do offer a no charge consultation to prospective patients in order to help them understand if chiropractic care would be beneficial for their situation. READ MORE
