Dr. Brett M. Liquori PH.D.
Psychologist | Clinical
PO Box 452 Stony Brook NY, 11790About
I am both a licensed clinical psychologist and certified school psychologist, who specializes in the treatment of children, adolescents, adults, and families using Cognitive Behavior Therapy (CBT) in home, school, and community settings.
Psychological interventions using CBT are regarded to be “best practice” and recommended treatment for problems of anxiety or mood, impulse-control, and conduct disorders. Although it is also well-established that treating individuals using exposure-based approaches and CBT within naturalistic settings can significantly improve functioning when compared to office-based treatment, there are few professionals willing to accept the challenge!
As a professional with over 20 years of experience traveling to and treating families all over Long Island, I understand that intense emotions conflicted relationships, and years of avoidance are not issues to be discussed in therapy but are life experiences to be mindfully experienced and worked through as they occur. In this way, I employ a “coaching” model of treatment, where the client is supported, motivated, and assisted indirectly addressing life’s obstacles.
No office appointments are necessary, because I come to you!
