Scholastically, Dr. Tamargo received her Bachelor of Arts Degree from the University of Maryland Baltimore County Honor’s University and attended Loyola College in Maryland. Continuing her pursuit of knowledge, she earned both a Master of Arts Degree in Child Psychology and a Doctor of Psychology Degree in Clinical Psychology from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology at the University of Hartford.
Subsequently, Dr. Tamargo embarked on her clinical internship through the Bureau of Medicine and Surgery at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland, where she served as a Naval Psychologist on active duty. In 1996, she established a private practice in Manhattan Beach, California. Her commitment to both her profession and military service led her to relocate her practice to Reston, Virginia while concurrently serving as a Navy Reservist at the National Naval Medical Center.
In 2013, Dr. Tamargo opened a practice in Ponte Vedra Beach, Florida, eventually relocating it to Jacksonville in 2020, marking another significant chapter in her career.
She has the following advanced training and certifications: Certified Clinical Anxiety Treatment Professional (CCATP), Certified Clinical Trauma Professional Level 2 (CCTP-II), Schema Therapy, EMDR, and TEAM-CBT-1.

She has also garnered numerous collegiate athletic honors, including MVP awards and the establishment of school records in UMBC Field Hockey and Lacrosse. Her athletic prowess extends to her recognition as a two-time All-American.
Happily married, Dr. Tamargo is the proud parent to two daughters, and has enjoyed coaching both girls field hockey and soccer in her community.
