With over 25 years of experience, Dr. Ylisastigui and his devoted team, including two nurse practitioners personally trained by him, have become a cornerstone of quality primary care in the Lehigh Acres, Florida community.

As an internist, Dr. Ylisastigui specializes in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. His practice places a strong emphasis on addressing common health issues, such as diabetes, hypertension, and high cholesterol levels. He has also developed an exceptional expertise in caring for complex patients, which includes individuals dealing with a combination of multiple chronic conditions, treatment or medication-related challenges, and social vulnerability. 

Bringing a wealth of knowledge to his practice, Dr. Ylisastigui holds a Medical Degree from the Higher Institute of Medical Sciences in Havana, Cuba, and advanced clinical pharmacology training from both the Institute and the University of Heidelberg in Germany. He has a remarkable 25-year track record in clinical research, including extensive experience as a Principal Investigator for phase I to IV studies. His internal medicine residency training was completed at the University of North Dakota in Fargo.
