A skilled transplant surgeon, Dr. Campsen is the Chief Clinical Officer at Light Line Medical in Salt Lake City, Utah, and serves as the Surgical Director of Adult and Pediatric Kidney Transplantation, Living Donor Kidney Transplantation, and Pancreas Transplantation at the University of Utah. 

Throughout his academic career, he received his Bachelor of Arts degree from James Madison University and his medical degree from Eastern Virginia Medical School, before completing his residency in general surgery at the University of Colorado. His passion for transplant surgery led him to the University of Colorado for a fellowship in adult and pediatric multi organ transplantation and hepatobiliary surgery, where he honed his skills in managing complex renal, liver, biliary, and pancreatic diseases.

Following his fellowship, Dr. Campsen joined Baylor University Medical Center and Sammons Cancer Center in Dallas, Texas, where he played a vital role in developing a specialized practice focusing on transplant surgery for kidney, liver, and pancreatic diseases. Notably, he was appointed as the Surgical Director of the Laparoscopic Live Donor Kidney Transplant Program, showcasing his leadership and innovative approach to surgical techniques.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Surgeons (FACS), he is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery (ABS). He was also recently honored with a fellowship from the American Society of Transplantation, receiving a FAST certificate that recognizes his exceptional contributions to the field. His commitment to advancing transplant surgery and improving patient outcomes has solidified his reputation as a leader in the industry.
