Get to know Gastroenterologist Dr. Jeffrey S. Crespin, who serves patients in New York City, New York.

Dr. Crespin is a board-certified gastroenterologist who has been practicing in Manhattan for over 10 years. He is expertly trained in endoscopic procedures, which allows direct visualization of the intestinal tract for optimal diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of gastrointestinal diseases.

Dr. Crespin is currently serving patients at his private practice in New York City, New York. There, he strives to provide the highest quality medical care and services in a compassionate, professional, and personalized manner. He is also affiliated with NYU Lenox Hill Hospital, as well as with St. Luke’s Roosevelt and Beth Israel Hospitals.

Dr. Crespin serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Medical Center. The Medical Center comprises the NYU School of Medicine and several hospitals: Tisch Hospital, the Rusk Institute of Rehabilitation Medicine, the Hospital for Joint Diseases, NYU Langone Hospital - Brooklyn, and NYU Winthrop Hospital.

Dr. Crespin received his medical degree from the Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Missouri in 1993. He then went on to complete an internship and residency at the University of Minnesota in Minneapolis, Minnesota, followed by an additional residency at Barnes-Jewish Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri. He also completed a fellowship in gastroenterology at Northwestern Memorial Hospital in Chicago, Illinois in 1999.

Dr. Crespin received his Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from the New York University Leonard N. Stern School of Business in 2007.

Dr. Crespin is recognized on “Top Doctors” lists and is known by many of his colleagues as a “Doctor’s Doctor”.  

Dr. Crespin is board-certified in both internal medicine and gastroenterology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

Dr. Crespin is a member of several organizations, including the American Medical Association, the American College of Physicians, the American Association for the Study of Liver Diseases, and the New York Society for Gastrointestinal Endoscopy. He is also an American Gastroenterological Association Fellow (AGAF).

Gastroenterology is the branch of medicine focused on the digestive system and its disorders. A gastroenterologist, like Dr. Crespin, is a physician who has extensive training in the diagnosis and treatment of disorders related to the esophagus, stomach, intestines, and biliary system.
