Get to know Anesthesiologist and Pain Management Specialist Dr. Jeff Arthur, who serves the Texas area at his private practice, at Fondren Orthopedic Group, and at several local hospitals.
Dr. Arthur earned his medical degree from the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center School of Medicine. He then continued his studies with residencies at the Baylor University Medical Center and Texas Tech University at Lubbock. He also a fellowship in interventional pain medicine. He has been board certified in Anesthesiology and Pain Medicine by the American Board of Anesthesiology.
Upon completing his training, Dr. Arthur was on the faculty as an assistant professor at Texas Tech University Medical School and also served as the director of the cancer pain service. Dr. Arthur began his private practice in 1996 and is currently on staff at several hospitals, including: the Memorial Herman Surgical Hospital, Kingwood Hospital, Memorial Herman Hospital in The Woodlands, Memorial Herman Surgery Center in Conroe, and Texas Orthopedic Hospital in Houston. He also serves as an expert in pain medicine for the Texas State Board of Medical Examiners.
Dr. Arthur specializes in the treatment of spine and nerve related pain as well as cancer related pain through a variety of treatments such as radiographically guided epidural steroid injections, spinal cord stimulation, and kyphoplasty for vertebral compression fractures. He is also one of the few providers in the area offering Superion Interspinal Spacer for the treatment of spinal stenosis.
