As for his educational background, he began his career in dentistry shortly after earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Marquette University School of Dentistry in Milwaukee, Wisconsin in 1976. Years later, he became a member of the American Dental Association and the Wisconsin Dental Association.
