Sky Ridge Medical Center is a medical complex located in Lone Tree, Colorado. The hospital & ER provides the Denver community world-class medical care, including OB/GYN, pediatric, neurology, orthopedic, bariatric, and oncology services. “To bring exceptional healing, to all human beings” as stated according to the mission statement of Sky Ridge Medical Center. 

After earning his medical degree from The Ohio State University College of Medicine in 1990, Dr. Ismail went on to perform his residency in general surgery at UF Health Science Center – Jacksonville. This was followed by a fellowship in pediatric surgery at the University of Chicago Medical Center.

With over 30+ years of extensive experience, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Board of Surgery, an independent, non-profit organization located in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, founded for the purpose of certifying surgeons who have met a defined standard of education, training, and knowledge. 

Locally, Dr. Ismail is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers, including North Suburban Medical Center and Littleton Adventist Hospital.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease.
