Alongside his clinical role, Dr. Lowry serves as a primary teaching and clinical faculty physician for the interventional pain fellowship at Scott and White. He has been published in multiple medical journals and recently co-authored an interventional pain management textbook. Likewise, he has lectured at several different medical conferences in Texas and surrounding states on the current practices in pain management and interventional techniques.
In the early days of his academic career, Dr. Lowry received his medical degree from the University of Oklahoma College of Medicine. He completed his residency in anesthesiology at Baylor Scott & White Medical Center – Temple, where he served as chief resident and was voted the most outstanding hospital resident. Subsequently, he completed his fellowship training in interventional pain management at UT Southwestern in Dallas.
Continuing to expand his vast knowledge, the doctor is board-certified in anesthesiology and interventional pain management by the American Board of Anesthesiology, whose mission is to advance the highest standards of the practice of anesthesiology. He is also an active member of the American Society of Interventional Pain Physicians and the Texas Pain Society.
