Low BUN is related to not eating enough protein. Eating less protein protects your kidneys long term, but should not be extreme. As far as pain is concerned, kidney disease usually does not cause pain unless it is polycystic kidney disease or a kidney stone, or an infection. As long as pain is short lived and there is no fever, you can probably wait 2 weeks to see your doctor. If the pain is severe and persistent, you should go to an emergency room.
