Dr. Mark Solomon is a board certified nephrologist practicing in Stony Brook, NY. As a nephrologist I will typically treat a wide array of kidney diseases due to a myrid of causes, acute kidney injury, chronic kidney disease, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, kidney stones, genetic disorders such as polycystic kidney disease, provide post kidney transpant care as well as dialysis care. Patients are typically referred to me by primary care physicians as well as follow up post hospitalization. Currently I am the chief of nephrology at both St. Charles Hopsital in Port Jefferson, NY as well as St.Catherine Hopsital in Smithtown, NY. I serve as medical director of one of our outpatient dialysis centers, Fresenius Dialysis Center, Centereach, NY. I previously served as president of the Medical Board St. Charles Hospital from 1/2020-12/2021

Dr. Solomon’s impressive educational background laid the foundation for his successful career in nephrology. He earned his Medical Degree from St. George’s School of Medicine in 1988, followed by a residency in medicine at the University of Virginia Medical Center, completed in 1991. Dr. Solomon pursued a fellowship in nephrology at SUNY Stony Brook, finishing in 1992. Four years later, in 1996, he became board certified in nephrology by the American Board of Internal Medicine, solidifying his expertise in the field.
