Get to know General Practitioner / Urgent Care Physician Dr. Liem Ton, who serves patients in Winter Haven, Florida. Dr. Ton received his medical degree in 1973 from the University of Saigon Medical School in Saigon City, South Vietnam. He completed an internship in Internal Medicine & OB GYN with Hoc Hospital in South Vietnam, followed by his residency with Wadsworth Medical Center in Wadsworth, Ohio. Urgent care is a category of walk-in clinic focused on the delivery of ambulatory care in a dedicated medical facility outside of a traditional emergency department (emergency room). As an Urgent Care Physician, Dr. Ton offers outpatient care for the treatment of acute and chronic illness and injury. His duties range from reviewing and recording patients’ medical histories to performing surgical procedures, conducting follow-up appointments, and promoting health by advising patients about diet, hygiene, and methods for prevention of disease.
