Get to know Cardiologist Dr. Maher M. Rabah, who serves patients in Berkley, Michigan.

An excellent cardiologist, Dr. Rabah is in practice at the Beaumont Northpointe Heart Center, located within Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, in Berkley, Michigan. He can also be found on staff at Beaumont Hospital, Troy, Beaumont Hospital, Farmington Hills, and serves as an Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine at the Oakland University William Beaumont School of Medicine.

With a broad educational background, he earned his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Kansas City University of Medicine & Biosciences, College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1989. He completed his residency in internal medicine at Beaumont Hospital, Royal Oak, before completing two consecutive fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the same educational venue.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology (FACC), the doctor is board-certified in cardiovascular disease, interventional cardiology, and internal medicine by the American Osteopathic Board of Internal Medicine, which is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of disease in adults.

Cardiology is a branch of medicine that deals with the disorders of the heart, as well as some parts of the circulatory system. The field includes medical diagnosis and treatment of congenital heart defects, coronary artery disease, heart failure, valvular heart disease, and electrophysiology. Cardiologists are doctors who diagnose, assess, and treat patients with diseases and defects of the heart and blood vessels (the cardiovascular system).

As a testament to his success, Dr. Rabah has been the recipient of the Patients' Choice Award (2015), On-Time Doctor Award (2015), and Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2014).

On a more personal note, he is fluent in both English and Arabic.
