Dr. Philip Stella is a Medical Oncologist practicing in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He completed his fellowship in Oncology at Mayo Clinic and is board certified in Medical Oncology and Internal Medicine. He practices with IHA/Trinity Health at St Joseph Mercy Hospital Ann Arbor. Currently, he serves as Emeritus Medical Director of The Oncology Program as well as Emeritus Principal Investigator of the Michigan Cancer Research Consortium NCI Community Oncology Research Program (NCORP) after having led those organizations for more than 30 years. Through the NCORP Dr Stella and team have been at the forefront of cutting edge research in collaboration with the National Cancer Institute. Dr Stella has been active in developing policy as it relates to Cancer at the state level as Past President and founding member of the Michigan Society of Hematology Oncology or as Board Member and Government Relations Chair with the American Society of Clinical Oncology. Of all his accomplishments though the ones he is proudest of is his relationships with his patients and families.
